The author contacted me and asked if I would read his book and give an honest review.I absolutely loved the storyline and character arcs of Within an Inch of the Moon. William Byron Hillman’s book is a large book. I would estimate it at over two hundred thousand words and as such it took me a long time to read. I am normally a fast reader but with this book I had to slow way down. Once I slowed down I really started to get into and enjoy the story. I give the storyline and characters a solid 5 stars.
Now for what could use improvement. A 5 star story deserves a 5 star edit. I believe the story could make it into the top tier of books if it was very carefully proof read and gone over by a good editor. I found multiple typos, punctuation and grammatical mistakes and I am by no means a good proofreader. The promise to the author kept me reading past the first several chapters and a good story line helped me to finish the book. I would give the editing and polish of the book about 2 stars.
The author might consider re-editing, then splitting this book into half or even into a series of three books. I think his readers might enjoy the smaller books with a lower word count.
Now for my rating of Within an Inch of the Moon. What to do with a fantastic storyline that is in need of an editor polish and proof reading? I struggled back and forth between 2 and 4 stars and finally decided on 4 stars. With a re-edit it would be a no-brainer 5 star book.

This is not my type of book. But I fell in love with it. This is like a criminal romance type book. The plot has a lot of twists and turns. It will have in in tears and than leave you smile at different times. When you see what Noah goes though it will break your heart. You will wonder if the criminals will get what they deserve. It is so inspiring to see how strong Noah is to recover from his issues. Sophie going thru her being bullied as a child makes her a better person. William Byron Hillman has named this book Noah Tyler Book 1 I am looking forward to Book 2
Enjoyed the book.
Although not my usual genre, I absolutely loved this book. The character's were dynamic and believable, the plots were strategic and well devised. This book takes you down a path that you wouldn't want to travel in the real world. It twists and turns and has you wringing your hands in frustration, because all you want is for the criminals to get what's coming to them. The deviousness of Lester makes you want to cringe, what a terrible human being. Noah's story is so tragic yet filled with hope, his fight to survive life's injustices is awe inspiring. This wonderful story had me in tears at times; if your like crime thrillers with a twist you're going to love this story, it has many elements, deception, the fight for justice, survival, love and acceptance, HATS OFF to the author for weaving such a wonderful, exciting tale. I thoroughly recommend you put this on your books to read list.
Within an Inch of the Moon
The author did an amazing job bringing some really messed up characters together, as if by more than chance they were pulled together, and then it’s this complex tale of mystery and intrigue and each character with their unique situation, traits and personality style adds flavor and meaning to the tale. This was a great read. I truly enjoyed this one.
